Hello

My Name is Rebecca Loeffler and I live in the Philadelphia/main line area with my husband, Shane and 2 rescue dogs, Butter and Chester. Baking is an art that I am passionate about and always looking to perfect. I'm constantly experimenting with new ingredients, flavors, and techniques because I believe that every cookie has a story to tell. Each cookie I make is a labor of love, and I take great pride in bringing a smile to the faces of those who taste them. I specialize in decorated sugar cookies and macarons, and I'm constantly coming up with new flavors to try, as well as twists on old favorites. If you're looking for something unique, delicious, and made with love, then my cookies are just what you need.

My Story:

Decorated Cookies

I grew up with a family everything you make and bake comes from scratch, both my parents and grandparents all love to bake. My father would let me and my brothers crowd around him and help him make his famous chocolate chip cookies and other sweet treats, now that I am older with small nieces and nephews who always want to help me, I can see how patient he was. So you can say that through osmosis I absorbed the love of baking. One of my favorite memories growing up was when my father would bake tons of different shaped sugar cookies and make tons of different colored icing so that we could spend hours decorating and eating cookies. They would all be gone with in a couple of days. During the pandemic, I was unable to attend my sister-in-laws baby shower but I wanted to do something a little more personal on top of sending her a gift. Alas I decided to try and make decorated cookies to go along with her woodland creatures shower theme. And thus began my obsession with decorated cookies! Now 4 year, cookie classes, endless practice and many many cookie cutters later, my obsession still continues!

My Story:

Macarons

The first time I ever made macarons was for Easter back in 2018. I made a blood orange curd then from that curd I made a blood orange white chocolate ganache for the filling of the macaron. That was probably the most time and work I had ever put into a cookie and surprisingly they turned out PERFECT! To this day I still do not understand how I managed to pull that off aside from beginners luck. I had read about how difficult it was to perfect the macaron and after that I though to myself, that really wasn't that hard. Oh gosh how wrong I was. When I moved up to PA later that same year I wanted to recreate my macaron masterpiece, how hard could it be right? Well after trying and failing 5 times I gave up on the macaron for about a year, swearing that I was never going to touch it again. But I am no quitter when is comes to baking! After doing a plethora of research, and watching many YouTube Videos I built up the courage to try again and finally I had recreated my beginners luck macarons! After that I experimented with different recipes and techniques till I found my favorite, almost 3 years later!
